The Holiday Season!
What a fun time of year to have a new baby! Let me walk you through the events of the holiday season:
First we went to get our tree at a farm in Carnation.
Then we had a wonderful Christmas brunch at Mormor and Papa's house with Great Gramma Polly and Great Grampa Dale.
Next we celebrated Auntie D's birthday...in style.
Then we got our picture taken with Santa...this doesn't really do the picture justice, but she was cheezin' and she even cuddled Santa a little!
Next we spent some time down in the Gig with Grandma J and Grandpa Dick. The first photo is Christmas Eve candle light service at G and G's church. Let's just say we stood in the back for most of the service and had to make use of the nursery! Sawyer says "It was past my bed time guys!"
We headed from Gig Harbor to Tacoma to Mormor and Papa's house for Christmas day festivities and traditions.
Sawyer was really only interested in the ribbons and the paper...oh and Uncle Zac's new beer brewing pot...oh and wearing the traditional crown for Christmas dinner!
The next day was spent trying on new clothes and hangin' with Puddin'
On New Year's Eve Day we went for a refreshing hike to help daddy get over his cold and finally tried out our pack!
What a wonderful holiday it was! Lots of time well spent with family, many wonderful gifts, and two whole weeks at home for Mommy and Daddy so we could spend some quality time with Sawyer.
We are so blessed to have amazing support from all our family members. It is fun to see how much joy Sawyer adds to our gatherings. As 2011 comes to a close, Lance, Sawyer and I would like to say thank you to everyone who has been there and helped us out in these first 6 months of Sawyer's life. We would have been seriously lost without you... And we wish you a happy and healthy 2012!
