In my new role as full time mom, I feel like I am (kind of) figuring things out! I am on call 24/7, I am now a provider of the only form of food for my baby, and I don't get to sleep like the dead! And the crazy part...I am loving every minute of it! It seems like a treat to stare at her for 10-15 minutes at a time. I also sometimes get startled when she moves and have to remind myself that Sawyer is REAL!
I can't skip writing about the fact that Lance is a fantastic dad. It was so hard to have him go back to work a week after she was born, but it is pretty special when he gets home in the evenings and spends time with her doing skin to skin or tummy time. They already have that special daddy/daughter relationship and it is fantastic to watch.
